Make a significant difference in students’ lives as a school-based audiologist supporting learners across multiple campuses. This full-time, itinerant position offers the chance to work Monday through Friday, traveling between school sites to deliver vital audiological services for children and adolescents.

Your expertise will be crucial in assessing and supporting students with hearing loss and Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD). You’ll take ownership of your schedule while collaborating closely with educational teams and families to ensure every student receives optimal support in their learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Valid Audiology license for California
  • Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Ability to efficiently organize your time while traveling between sites
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in preparing reports and documenting student progress
  • Commitment to inclusive, student-centered service
  • Experience managing and troubleshooting HAT/FM systems and hearing aids is advantageous

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for students with hearing loss and CAPD
  • Write detailed evaluation reports supporting IEP, IFSP, and 504 plans
  • Attend and actively participate in student staffing and educational meetings
  • Offer consultation and recommendations to families, teachers, and district teams
  • Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot classroom and personal amplification equipment
  • Provide training and support regarding assistive technologies for school staff
  • Support students’ access to instruction through ongoing collaboration with DHH and multidisciplinary teams
