Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Previous experience in educational settings or with pediatric populations preferred
  • Knowledgeable in conducting comprehensive hearing assessments and fitting amplification devices
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with students, families, and staff
  • Organized, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing caseloads

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students’ hearing abilities using a variety of diagnostic tests
  • Interpret results and make recommendations for intervention or classroom modifications
  • Fit and monitor hearing assistive technology, such as hearing aids or FM systems
  • Develop and document Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals related to auditory needs
  • Provide aural rehabilitation and counseling to students, parents, and staff
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state policies
