We’re seeking a dedicated Audiologist for a contract role supporting the DHH (Deaf and Hard of Hearing) student population from Pre-K through 12th grade. This position offers a rich and varied experience, involving travel between multiple school campuses in the Kansas City area, and plays a key role in ensuring students’ access to quality hearing health services.
Serving a diverse caseload—including nine students currently in Pre-K with further caseload confirmed during the interview—you’ll contribute your expertise through audiology assessments, report writing, and providing insightful feedback and consultations to both staff and educators. This assignment is ideal for professionals who thrive in collaborative, school-based environments and are committed to student success.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active professional state license to practice audiology in Kansas.
- Valid credential issued by the Kansas Board of Hearing Aid Examiners or appropriate state body.
- Master’s or doctoral degree in audiology.
- Experience with school-aged DHH populations preferred.
- Strong communication and consultation skills.
- Flexibility to travel between multiple campuses, as needed.
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting comprehensive audiology evaluations for DHH students ages Pre-K through 12th grade.
- Prioritizing direct services and consults for the DHH population.
- Writing thorough, actionable audiology reports.
- Offering regular consultations and feedback to staff, ensuring best practices for student support.
- Collaborating with teachers and school teams to facilitate effective accommodations.
