Qualifications and Experience Sought:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited institution
  • Valid state licensure as an Audiologist (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of hearing screenings, hearing loss prevention, and assistive hearing technology
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals as appropriate

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive audiological assessments for students
  • Provide ongoing hearing screenings and evaluations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop educational strategies
  • Recommend, fit, and monitor hearing aids and FM systems
  • Educate staff and families about hearing loss and classroom accommodations
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records and comply with applicable special education regulations
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and provide expert input regarding students’ auditory needs
