Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as an Audiologist (or eligibility in Texas)
- Professional experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive auditory evaluations and interpreting test results
- Strong communication skills for consulting with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage a flexible caseload and adapt to the unique needs of school environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct hearing screenings, diagnostic tests, and central auditory processing assessments for students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized educational plans (IEPs) related to auditory needs
- Collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and administrative staff to create optimal listening environments
- Provide recommendations for classroom accommodations and FM/DM system usage
- Educate school staff and families about hearing health, devices, and auditory processing disorders
- Maintain accurate documentation, timely reports, and compliance with state and federal regulations
