An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Audiologist to make a positive impact supporting students across several school communities. This full-time, contract position runs from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. You'll provide essential services to students in the Murrieta-area schools, with a caseload that includes sites in Menifee, Murrieta, and Lake Elsinore.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Active state license/certification as an Audiologist
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is strongly preferred
- Proficient in administering pediatric hearing testing and assessment
- Strong written communication skills for report writing
- Comfortable attending and contributing to virtual IEP meetings
- Knowledge of Auditory-Oral educational practices and RMT equipment setup/troubleshooting
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer hearing tests to students according to established protocols
- Write clear, comprehensive reports summarizing assessment results and recommendations
- Attend virtual IEP meetings, collaborating with educators and families to support student success
- Oversee and support an Auditory-Oral classroom, ensuring all students have functioning RMT (remote microphone technology) equipment
- Travel between school sites within the Menifee, Murrieta, and Lake Elsinore areas as needed to meet caseload demands
- Maintain accurate, confidential records of all assessments and services provided
