Step into a rewarding contract role serving students as an Audiologist in an itinerant capacity throughout the Riverside area. In this engaging, full-time position, you’ll work 37.5 hours per week, following a schedule of five 8-hour days with a 30-minute lunch, and make a meaningful impact in school-based settings. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through the second week of June, aligning with the academic calendar.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid and current Audiologist license in the state
- Experience in school-based or pediatric audiology preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, educators, and families
- Ability to work independently and travel between sites as needed
- Familiarity with evaluations, hearing screenings, assistive technology, and IEP processes
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive audiological assessments and auditory processing evaluations for students
- Provide recommendations for amplification and classroom accommodations
- Collaborate with educational teams to support students’ access to the curriculum
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering expert input for service planning
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school requirements
- Offer training and consultation to staff and families on hearing loss and assistive listening devices
