Key Qualifications:
- Valid California Audiology license required
- Experience conducting assessments for students with hearing loss and Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD)
- Familiarity with supporting IEP, IFSP, and 504 development and participation in related meetings
- Proficient in managing, ordering, and troubleshooting HAT/FM systems and hearing amplification equipment
- Strong communication and consultation skills with families, educators, and district staff
- Ability to work collaboratively with DHH teams and other education professionals
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct audiology services and assessments to a diverse K-12 student population
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports to support educational planning
- Troubleshoot and maintain audiological equipment, including hearing aids and assistive technology
- Serve as a resource and consultant for school teams, offering recommendations for accommodations and interventions tailored to each student
- Travel between assigned school sites Monday through Friday, maintaining a consistent full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week
- Engage in ongoing collaboration to support optimal access to curriculum and programming for students with auditory needs
