Step into a pivotal role supporting students’ hearing health and access to learning across a cluster of campuses near Schertz, TX. As an experienced Audiologist, you’ll use your expertise to serve students from PreK through 12th grade, ensuring each receives the specialized attention they need to thrive academically. This rewarding contract position offers a dynamic schedule—primarily based at Mission Academy—with scheduled outreach to other campuses across the district.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the district’s DHH Coordinator, Maribel Tamez, and work alongside itinerant educators to optimize services and interventions. With a caseload of approximately 50 students districtwide, you’ll provide assessment, testing, troubleshooting, and support for hearing devices, making a lasting impact on student success.

Desired Experience and Credentials:

• Master’s degree in Audiology
• At least 5 years of experience in school-based or equivalent audiology settings
• Current ASHA certification (waiver available for those who hold ASHA)
• State licensure to practice and fit/repair hearing aids
• Successful completion of required examination
• Fingerprinting and background check
• Ability to work onsite, with travel to various campuses as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct hearing assessments, fittings, and device repairs for PK-12 students
• Schedule and provide regular troubleshooting clinics at primary and satellite campuses
• Partner with DHH coordination and itinerant staff for seamless student services
• Maintain clear and thorough student records
• Deliver age-appropriate audiological support and educational recommendations
