This contract position offers the unique opportunity to work with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) student population ranging from Pre-K through 12th grade, with a primary focus on assessment, reporting, and staff consultation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritize and support students within the DHH population, ensuring their access to necessary audiology services.
- Conduct thorough audiological assessments and prepare actionable reports for each student.
- Provide ongoing feedback, strategies, and professional consultation to multidisciplinary school staff.
- Travel between campuses as needed to address student and staff needs efficiently.
- Adapt caseload support based on evolving school requirements (Pre-K currently includes 9 students; further caseload details to be discussed during the interview).
- Maintain comprehensive documentation in accordance with district and professional standards.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current, active professional license to practice audiology in Kansas.
- Valid state credential issued by the Kansas Board of Hearing Aid Examiners or appropriate state body.
- A master’s or doctoral degree in audiology from an accredited program.
- Experience working with school-aged children, especially the DHH population, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, consultative approach.
- Flexible availability for full-time or part-time hours, depending on candidate’s preference.
- Willingness to travel between multiple campuses as needed.
