Step into an impactful role supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students in an educational setting with a 12-week contract opportunity. This position is perfect for experienced audiologists looking to make a meaningful difference while working alongside dedicated professionals in a collaborative school environment. The assignment runs from August 31, 2026, through Thanksgiving break, offering concentrated involvement during the fall semester.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) or Master’s Degree in Audiology
  • Active Michigan Audiology License
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) required
  • 3–5 years of experience in pediatric or educational audiology strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct audiological and DHH-specific assessments to evaluate auditory and communication skills for students across the district
  • Collaborate with clinical audiologists and ENT providers to obtain medical information for DHH eligibility and hearing assistive technology determinations
  • Assist families with follow-up on clinical recommendations and provide guidance on educational implications of hearing loss
  • Clearly interpret evaluation results for educators, parents, and school support staff to guide educational planning
  • Consult with support personnel and families regarding best practices to support DHH students
  • Participate as part of the Early On Team, including performing home visits for the birth-to-three DHH population as needed

This is an onsite-only opportunity with a manageable 35–37.5 hours per week, providing the chance to work closely with educators, specialists, and families. You’ll play a vital role in shaping positive outcomes for DHH students during this important interim period.
