Bring your expertise in audiology to a dynamic educational environment for the upcoming school year! This contract opportunity offers the chance to support a diverse student population near Universal City, TX, working closely with a collaborative team of educators and specialists.

Responsibilities for this role include providing comprehensive audiological services to students, primarily based at one central academy, with additional efforts involving troubleshooting and coordination across the district. Engagement will be two days per week, totaling approximately 15 hours, from August through late May. You'll play an important part in enhancing students’ learning experiences by assessing hearing needs, fitting and repairing hearing aids, and working directly with itinerant teachers.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Audiology
  • Valid state license to practice Audiology and fit/repair hearing aids
  • ASHA certification (waiver considered if already held)
  • Successful completion of relevant state exams
  • Minimum of five years of experience in school-based audiology or a comparable setting
  • Previous experience supporting school-aged children is essential
  • Fingerprinting and background check required as part of onboarding

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct hearing assessments for students across several campuses
  • Fit and maintain hearing aids, and provide repairs as needed
  • Troubleshoot technical issues in collaboration with district staff
  • Participate in student-focused interventions and support multidisciplinary teams
