Step into a meaningful role supporting students across a dynamic school environment as an Audiologist. In this flexible, contract-based engagement, you’ll primarily work on-site at a central academy, serving as a hub for a cluster of nearby campuses. Your expertise will impact students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, providing critical audiological services, assessments, and troubleshooting support. Coordination with school staff will ensure students receive thorough and timely care in a collaborative setting.
Schedule highlights include:
- 15–20 hours per week over 2–3 days, with the flexibility to adapt hours and days worked.
- The majority of your work will be conducted at a central campus, while occasional visits to additional schools in the district will allow you to broaden your impact.
- Support is available from dedicated staff to help manage logistics and facilitate testing and services.
Key qualifications:
- Master's degree in Audiology
- At least five years of experience in school settings or a comparable environment
- Certification from ASHA (waiver applies for certificate holders)
- Active state licensure to practice audiology, including fitting and repairing hearing aids
- Successful completion of relevant certification exams
- Clearance of fingerprinting and background check as part of credentialing
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting audiometric screenings and comprehensive hearing evaluations for PK–12 students
- Fitting and troubleshooting hearing aids
- Collaborating with itinerant teachers and school staff for student support
- Maintaining accurate records and preparing timely reports
