This contract-to-hire opportunity focuses on students with behavioral needs, including Autism and ADHD. Work closely with dedicated administration, ensuring you have guidance and support onsite every day.

Share your expertise as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Special Education Teacher, or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), helping young learners thrive both academically and socially. This full-time position offers 40 hours per week, set in a welcoming, collaborative school environment near Alexandria, VA.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid BCBA, Special Education Teacher certification, or RBT credential (required)
  • Prior experience working with elementary-aged students, especially in special education settings
  • Strong background in developing and implementing behavioral intervention plans
  • Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD strategies highly valued
  • Proficiency in managing challenging behaviors and utilizing evidence-based interventions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptable team player, willing to collaborate with classroom staff and administration

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one instruction and behavioral support to a 1st grade student
  • Develop and implement individualized education and behavior intervention plans
  • Monitor student progress and adjust supports as needed
  • Foster social, emotional, and academic growth in a positive learning environment
  • Communicate regularly with families, teachers, and administration to ensure consistent support
