This position is an on-site role, covering 30 hours per week across four days. With a flexible September start date and assignments as an itinerant BCBA, you'll be pivotal in shaping positive behavioral outcomes in a school-based setting.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential with national certification required
- School-based experience strongly preferred, though not mandatory
- Capacity for flexible, site-based work throughout Lake County
- Preparedness to complete district-specific onboarding, including procedural agreements and credentialing documents
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments, observing across varied settings, consulting with educational staff, and producing detailed reports per district guidance
- Develop and implement individualized Behavioral Intervention Plans for students or classrooms based on assessment findings
- Deliver comprehensive staff training and supervision in plan implementation, data collection methods, and behavior-modification techniques
- Provide direct behavioral therapy services to individuals or groups, supporting both behavioral and social-emotional development
- Monitor, assess, and refine intervention programs to support the generalization and maintenance of student progress
- Collaborate with school teams to implement social-emotional curricula, level systems, de-escalation strategies, and crisis prevention interventions
- Adapt service hours as necessary to accommodate transitions or student needs, primarily working during the school day
