Board Certified Behavior Analyst - Arlington, VA

Make a difference every day by supporting young learners in a one-on-one educational setting as a Special Education Teacher for the Extended School Year program. In this Contract to Hire position, you'll address behavioral needs while developing individualized strategies for students with Autism and ADHD. Your ability to collaborate, adapt, and demonstrate empathy will be key as you create a positive, effective learning environment tailored to each child’s unique strengths.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active licensure/certification as a BCBA, RBT, or Special Education Teacher
• Experience working in a school setting with young learners
• Background supporting students with Autism and ADHD is highly valued
• Proficiency in developing and implementing individualized behavior plans
• Ability to manage and document student progress effectively
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility and a commitment to student success

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction and behavioral supports to 1st-grade students
• Create and maintain a safe, encouraging classroom environment
• Develop and implement behavior intervention strategies and IEPs
• Collaborate daily with administration and other school professionals to ensure best practices
• Track and report on student progress and adapt strategies as needed
• Engage families and caregivers in student growth plans
