Board Certified Behavior Analyst in Brentwood, TN

Make an immediate impact as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in a unique education setting serving 6th–12th grade students. This is a full-time, contract-based opportunity with the possibility for renewal or a permanent role. The position is based in a specialized facility designed to serve students whose needs surpass what traditional districts can provide, yet require a more integrated environment than local clinics offer. You'll collaborate closely with a consortium district, focusing on students who present with challenging behaviors and require innovative, compassionate support.

Qualifications and Background:

• Current BCBA certification required
• Extensive experience working with adolescents exhibiting significant behavioral challenges
• Strong background with crisis intervention, elopement prevention, and behavior plan development
• Ability to work collaboratively with paras, RBTs, and teaching staff
• Leadership capabilities for training and guiding teams
• Prior experience in similar environments or with students requiring intensive supports preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct functional behavior assessments to understand the underlying causes of extreme behaviors
• Develop and implement crisis intervention and safety plans, focusing on situations like eloping and significant self-injurious or aggressive actions
• Collaborate with and train a multidisciplinary team including 10+ paraeducators, RBTs, and aides
• Provide on-site coaching and leadership to ensure fidelity to behavior intervention plans
• Maintain ongoing communication with teaching staff, offering hands-on support and professional development
• Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend adaptations based on student progress and needs
• Work within a continuum-of-care model—avoiding isolation—fostering inclusive, supportive school environments
