A school in Burleson, Texas is looking to contract a full-time Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with Soliant. The BCBA will work as a behavior specialist within the district, helping K-12 students whose behavior interferes with learning or safety. The school BCBA will collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to support students in the least restrictive educational environment.
- Conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to determine why challenging behaviors occur.
- Developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) based on assessment data.
- Collecting and analyzing behavioral data to determine whether interventions are effective.
- Consulting with teachers on classroom management and positive behavior supports.
- Training teachers, paraprofessionals, and other school staff to implement behavior plans consistently.
- Participating in IEP (Individualized Education Program) and ARD meetings to recommend behavioral supports.
- Coaching parents and caregivers on strategies that can be used at home.
- Supporting students with autism, ADHD, emotional or behavioral disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and other developmental needs.
- Assisting with crisis prevention and de-escalation planning when needed.
To apply, applicants must have a master's degree, current BCBA certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), Texas licensure as a behavior analysts, and experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), behavior assessment, and school-based consultation.
