A rewarding opportunity is available for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to make a meaningful impact in educational settings this fall. This contract position spans from September through the December break, supporting both middle school and elementary-aged students.
In this role, you’ll provide vital behavioral support and expertise to two distinct student groups. Part of your week will focus on middle schoolers in grades 7 and 8, while another portion will involve working with elementary students, PreK through grade 6. Schedule flexibility is available, and you’ll be working within typical school day hours — middle school operates 7:15 am to 2:15 pm, and the elementary schedule runs from 8:15 am to 3:15 pm. Qualifications & Experience:
- Current BCBA certification required
- Previous experience working in a school setting, preferably with middle and elementary grades
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop effective behavior intervention plans and support teachers/staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive educational environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and write Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Collaborate with school teams to implement and monitor interventions
- Train and coach educators and paraprofessionals on best practices
- Collect and analyze data to guide decision-making
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student planning
- Communicate regularly with families and staff
