Requirements:

  • Active Delaware BCBA licensure/certification required
  • Experience working with school-aged students, ideally those with autism and/or severe disabilities
  • Strong ability to participate in crisis management and de-escalation strategies
  • Proficiency in conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and developing effective Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)
  • Commitment to collaborative work within multidisciplinary educational teams

Responsibilities:

  • Actively engage in de-escalation and provide expertise as a member of the crisis team
  • Lead the development and execution of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs)
  • Design and implement individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) for students, ensuring strategies meet diverse needs
  • Collaborate with staff to craft behavior goals for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Train and guide staff in data collection techniques, ensuring progress and strategies are well-documented
  • Serve as a behavioral resource for school staff and students, offering on-the-ground support and coaching
