Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) | Chesapeake, Virginia

This full-time, contract role offers the chance to make a tangible impact from August 24, 2026, through May 29, 2027, working a consistent Monday through Friday schedule (8:00 am – 3:30 pm) with a manageable caseload of 10-15 students.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Active BCBA certification
• Experience working within a school setting or with school-aged children preferred
• Strong foundation in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
• Demonstrated ability to train and support teachers and paraprofessionals in ABA strategies
• Comfortable conducting data analysis and translating results into actionable intervention plans
• Skilled in modeling behavioral interventions, positive reinforcement, and de-escalation techniques

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct behavioral support to five classrooms and guide teams in implementing ABA strategies
• Model techniques for staff in real time, including positive reinforcement and classroom de-escalation processes
• Analyze data to reduce negative behaviors and promote positive behaviors
• Offer hands-on and follow-up support to educators through modeling, emails, and ongoing communication
• Step in as classroom support as needed during staff absences or shortages
• Conduct professional development sessions on topics such as data collection, behavior management, and use of visual supports
