This contract role offers flexible options for either full-time or part-time hours, all conducted on-site. With a start date of August 6th and work continuing through mid-May (pending emergency days), this position provides a meaningful way to make a difference in the lives of students.
The BCBA will play a key role in promoting positive behavioral changes within the school setting. You'll assess student behavior, develop thoughtful intervention plans, and carefully monitor progress to ensure each child’s needs are met and goals are achieved. The specific caseload, including the number of students you’ll work with, will be finalized upon placement, allowing for an adaptable and supportive assignment.
Qualifications and Desired Background:
- Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required
- Experience working with school-age children or within educational environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of behavioral assessment methods and intervention strategies
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Creative problem-solving mindset and a caring, student-focused approach
Primary Responsibilities:
- Complete thorough behavioral assessments
- Develop individualized and data-driven behavior intervention plans
- Coach and collaborate with teachers and staff to effectively implement strategies
- Monitor, document, and adjust interventions based on student progress
- Communicate regularly with families and team members regarding student growth and needs
