Board Certified Behavior Analyst - Cranston, RI

Desired Background and Skills:

• Active BCBA certification
• Professional experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and designing evidence-based Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
• Familiarity supporting K–age 22 students with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Skill in coaching and training classroom staff, teachers, and assistants
• Proficient in implementing de-escalation techniques, such as Safety-Care procedures and least restrictive interventions
• Strong competency monitoring, analyzing, and applying behavioral data to program decisions
• Effective communicator, able to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and families

Role Responsibilities:

• Conduct FBAs and develop individualized BIPs rooted in current behavioral science
• Train and support education staff on BIP implementation and ongoing behavioral support
• Provide direct support during behavioral incidents, prioritizing proactive and least restrictive approaches
• Collaborate with teaching staff, related service providers, and families for comprehensive student support
• Review and interpret student progress data to refine interventions and instruction
• Participate in and help coordinate professional development, sharing and gaining insights from peers
