Desired Background and Skills:

• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential required
• Demonstrated experience working with children and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Strong foundation in the development and implementation of evidence-based behavior intervention plans
• Proficiency in conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs)
• Skilled in training and supporting teachers and support staff in behavior plan implementation
• Expertise in crisis prevention and intervention, with a focus on proactive and least restrictive approaches (Safety-Care or similar frameworks)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective teaming with educators, therapists, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct FBAs and design individualized BIPs to address student needs
• Deliver training, coaching, and regular feedback to staff implementing behavior plans
• Offer direct support during behavioral crises, emphasizing de-escalation and student dignity
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including teachers, speech and occupational therapists, and families—to optimize student progress
• Monitor student data, analyze outcomes, and adjust programming accordingly
• Participate in designing and attending professional development sessions with colleagues from various disciplines
