Make an impact by supporting students as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) working within a dynamic school environment. This full-time contract opportunity allows you to apply your expertise across three schools, engaging with a diverse K-12 student population near the Des Plaines, IL area. Serving approximately 35 students, you'll collaborate with educators and families to deliver meaningful behavioral interventions and individualized programming.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Active BCBA certification required
- Experience working in educational settings, especially with K-12 students
- Strong background in applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques
- Ability to adapt interventions for students with a range of abilities
- Strong communication and consultation skills to support staff, parents, and students
- Organizational skills to manage a caseload spanning multiple locations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments and design effective behavior intervention plans
- Collaborate with general and special education staff across three schools: a K-8 campus in Northbrook, a high school, and a transition program in Skokie
- Provide training and ongoing support for teachers, paraprofessionals, and families
- Monitor progress, collect and analyze data, and adjust plans as needed for approximately 35 students
- Attend meetings, contribute to individualized education programs (IEPs), and document service delivery
- Support students in reaching their educational and developmental goals
