Qualifications:
• Active BCBA certification and licensure in Delaware are required
• Background in educational or clinical settings, especially with students facing significant behavioral challenges
• Strong understanding of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)
• Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills—working effectively with educational teams and families
• Commitment to upholding best practices in applied behavior analysis within a school environment
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as a valued participant on the crisis team, implementing de-escalation techniques when needed
• Conduct comprehensive FBAs to assess students’ needs
• Develop and update individualized BSPs to support students’ positive behavior
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to shape effective behavior goals for IEPs
• Train and support teachers and staff in behavioral strategies, ensuring consistency and success across settings
• Collect and analyze behavioral data, using outcomes to drive decisions and enhance student support
• Provide hands-on behavioral guidance for both students and staff in a dynamic educational setting
