Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) | Fairfax, Virginia

Take your expertise in special education to the next level as a dedicated professional supporting 1st grade students in an Extended School Year program. This contract-to-hire opportunity is located near Fairfax, VA, focusing on one-on-one instruction and behavioral support tailored to students’ unique needs. You’ll play a pivotal role in guiding learners, particularly those with Autism and ADHD, helping them achieve success in a supportive environment with onsite administration for assistance and collaboration.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Certified Special Education Teacher, BCBA, or RBT (Registered Behavior Technician)
• Strong background working in school settings; experience with 1st grade preferred
• Expertise supporting students with Autism, ADHD, and a range of behavioral needs
• Knowledge of behavior intervention strategies and individualized education planning (IEP)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with administrators and parents
• Flexibility and creativity in adapting instruction to diverse learning styles
• BCBA certification or experience as a BCBA is highly valued

What You’ll Do:

• Provide individualized instruction to 1st grade students in a one-on-one setting
• Develop and implement specialized lesson plans addressing behavioral and academic goals
• Apply Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques and other evidence-based strategies
• Collaborate closely with onsite administration and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain thorough documentation of student progress, behavior management, and communication
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
