Board Certified Behavior Analyst in Franklin, TN

We're seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for a contract assignment serving students in grades 6–12 whose needs exceed what the district alone can address. This role partners with the local district and provides an immediate start through the end of the school year, with potential for renewal or to become a permanent position.

Your work environment will be dynamic—a retail-style facility supporting older students, some of whom are physically large and present with intense behavioral challenges. Expect to provide leadership within a robust team that includes up to 10 paras/RBTs and several aides, often working with students on a 2:1 support basis. Your expertise and guidance will be essential in shaping strategies and day-to-day operations to ensure safety, support, and dignity for everyone.

Qualifications:

• Active BCBA certification
• Experience supporting older students with severe behavioral needs
• Strong skills in crisis intervention, functional behavior assessment, and de-escalation
• Proven ability to train and lead teams, especially RBTs, paras, and instructional aides
• Comfort managing high-intensity behaviors including elopement, self-injury, and aggression
• Innovative approach to behavior planning and supportive collaboration with educational staff

Responsibilities:

• Conduct ongoing functional assessments and behavior analyses
• Create and implement individualized crisis plans
• Train, mentor, and provide on-the-spot support for paraeducators and RBTs
• Collaborate closely with teachers and administrative staff to ensure program fidelity
• Guide, evaluate, and lead behavior intervention strategies
• Embed behavioral and safety supports throughout the facility and program
