Board Certified Behavior Analyst in Franklin, TN

Step into a dynamic role supporting middle and high school students in a specialized educational setting. A contract opportunity is available for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with a strong commitment to evidence-based interventions and collaborative practice. This position runs ASAP through the end of the school year, with the possibility of renewal or transition to permanent placement.

You’ll work with older students—grades 6-12—who present significant behavioral challenges beyond the scope of typical district offerings. The facility, situated in a unique retail-style environment, serves students who require intensive support, including crisis intervention for elopement, self-injurious, and aggressive behaviors. Some students have a 2:1 para-to-student ratio, supported by a dedicated team of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), paraprofessionals, and aides. Your primary focus will be on behavioral supports—academic programming is already in place.

Qualifications:

• Current BCBA certification (no RBTs or those seeking unrestricted hours)
• Experience working with adolescents with severe behaviors, especially in school or similar settings
• Strong skills in functional behavior assessment, intervention development, and team leadership
• Ability to train and coach paraprofessionals and teaching staff
• Collaborative attitude for partnering with district and cooperative stakeholders

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direct support to the RBT and para team
• Conduct behavior assessments and develop individualized behavior intervention plans
• Train and empower staff in crisis management, behavior de-escalation, and effective teaching practices
• Facilitate safe, inclusive environments for challenging student populations
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed
