Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree is a plus
• Valid Texas teaching certification with Special Education (SPED) endorsements
• Experience in special education, counseling, social work, or a related discipline
• Preferred backgrounds include school counselor, LPC, BCBA, psychology, or social work
• Strong understanding of behavioral intervention strategies and crisis response in educational settings

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) tailored to individual student needs
• Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) to inform intervention strategies
• Actively participate in ARD, IEP, Response to Intervention (RtI), and 504 meetings, contributing professional expertise
• Support classroom teachers and staff in promoting positive behavior and effective interventions
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and ongoing consultation for students requiring additional support
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to foster student success and safe learning environments
