Make a meaningful impact by supporting students and schools as an Autism Support Specialist in a dynamic, itinerant role spanning Kindergarten through age 21. This contract opportunity is an excellent match for licensed BCBAs, as well as Oregon-licensed School Psychologists and Speech Language Pathologists with proven experience serving students with autism. Two talented professionals will collaborate closely as a team, playing a vital role in helping the district conduct autism evaluations, develop behavior support plans, and guide school staff in best practices.

Key Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential, or Oregon license as a School Psychologist or Speech Language Pathologist
  • Demonstrated experience supporting students with autism spectrum disorder in school-based settings
  • Strong collaboration and consultation skills for working alongside educational staff
  • Proficiency in conducting or supporting autism evaluations and re-evaluations
  • Ability to travel between sites within the district (itinerant role)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive school-age autism evaluations and re-evaluations for students ranging from Kindergarten to age 21
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based autism behavior support plans
  • Serve as a consultant to school staff, empowering them with strategies for supporting students with autism
  • Work collaboratively with your teammate to ensure consistency, quality, and holistic support across the program
  • Document services and maintain timely communication with relevant educational teams
