Make a difference in the lives of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder by using your expertise as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst to support learners from kindergarten through age 21. This contract opportunity spans 37.5 hours per week and involves traveling across the district to deliver evidence-based instruction, develop tailored behavior plans, and collaborate closely with IEP teams and educators. Support students in various settings—including classrooms and resource rooms—while guiding staff and families to ensure continuity and progress in academic, behavioral, and social growth.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) required
- Demonstrated success working with students with Autism, including experience with Asperger’s Syndrome and high-functioning autism
- Advanced understanding of applied behavior analysis, data collection, and behavior support planning
- Experience designing and adapting curriculum for diverse learners with ASD
- Adept at developing and presenting staff and parent trainings
- Strong collaborative skills with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, related service providers, and administrators
- Familiarity with state and federal education regulations and IEP development
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for educational planning and eligibility determination
- Develop, implement, and modify individualized behavior support and instructional plans
- Lead intervention planning for challenging behaviors, emphasizing family diversity and strength-based approaches
- Use ABA principles in various instructional formats (discrete trial, pivotal response, incidental teaching)
- Promote development and generalization of social and play skills throughout the day
- Provide team and family training on evidence-based interventions
- Collaborate with staff to ensure legally compliant, effective educational programs
- Support students' independence and self-advocacy by designing structured environments and routines
