Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) - La Vista, Nebraska

Step into a rewarding role serving 6th through 12th grade students requiring expert behavior support within an innovative, collaborative educational setting. This contract position calls for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) ready to make an immediate impact through the end of the school year, with opportunities for renewal or a permanent assignment.

You’ll work closely with a cooperative district and a dedicated team of paraprofessionals, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and aides. The students you’ll support present with significant behavioral needs and require creative, data-driven interventions that surpass traditional school-based offerings, yet do not rise to the level of a clinical environment. The setting is dynamic, retail-style, and designed to keep students within the least restrictive environment possible, based on a continuum of need.

What We’re Looking For:

• Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing
• Experience with adolescents exhibiting extreme behavioral challenges, including history of crisis intervention
• Confidence in supporting physically larger, older students
• Skill in functional behavior assessment and development of crisis plans, including considerations for frequent elopement and behaviors such as self-injury, property destruction, aggression, and hygiene challenges
• Proven ability to lead and mentor RBTs, paras, and teachers with effective training and support
• Commitment to a collaborative, integrated service model (not isolation)
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct ongoing functional behavior assessments and implement effective behavior intervention plans
• Train and mentor a team of 10+ RBTs/paras and supporting aides
• Collaborate with teaching staff and provide targeted support for students with intensive needs
• Ensure implementation fidelity and safety for all team members
• Revisit telepractice feasibility discussions as needed
