Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Special Education or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential required
- Experience in school-based ASD support settings strongly preferred
- Proficiency in behavior assessment, development, and modification of support plans
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
- Ability to adapt curriculum for students with ASD, including those with high-functioning autism and Asperger’s Syndrome
- Strong collaborative communication skills for working with teams, families, and service providers
- Comfortable delivering professional development and training to diverse audiences
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement instructional activities aligned with state standards and student IEPs/504 plans
- Evaluate students using a variety of assessment tools, clearly interpreting and sharing results
- Design, implement, and monitor individualized behavior support plans based on data collection
- Provide direct intervention and promote generalization of social/emotional skills throughout the school day
- Adapt general and special education curriculum for each learner, fostering independence and self-advocacy
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and participate actively in IEP and eligibility meetings
- Design and deliver professional development and training sessions for staff, parents, and community partners
- Establish and support positive, safe learning environments using evidence-based crisis intervention strategies
