Bring your expertise as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to a dynamic, itinerant contract position supporting several high schools in the Lancaster, CA area for the 2026-2027 school year. Work full-time, Monday through Friday, for 30 hours each week, while collaborating closely with district leaders, school psychologists, and administrative teams. This role focuses on conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), field observations, implementing interventions, and creating effective Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) for students—including those with emotional disturbance (ED) populations.
Your Key Qualifications:
- Current BCBA certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Minimum of one year’s experience in a school setting, with high school and ED student exposure
- Proven application of ABA within educational environments
- Crisis intervention and de-escalation training
- Excellent communication, partnership, and documentation skills
- Reliable transportation for itinerant travel between multiple closely-located campuses
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform FBAs and behavioral observations across assigned schools
- Design & implement individualized BIPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide staff training and consultation as needed
- Support crisis intervention and help de-escalate challenging behaviors
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and clear communication with all stakeholders
