Exciting contract opportunity available for a skilled Behavior Specialist (BCBA) to support school communities across all grade levels. This districtwide position is based near Mechanicsville, MD, and spans the 2024-2025 academic year, starting August 3rd and concluding June 25th. You'll collaborate with dedicated teams, working up to 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility based on individual school schedules.

You'll play a critical role assisting students across up to 24 schools, partnering with behavioral technicians assigned to each elementary school in addition to receiving direct behavioral technician support yourself. Your expertise will help shape positive student outcomes, and your collaboration with a team of four fellow specialists will ensure comprehensive coverage and shared knowledge. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential
  • Previous experience working as a BCBA or Behavior Specialist in a school, clinical, or educational setting
  • Strong understanding of behavioral assessment and intervention strategies for children and adolescents
  • Excellent communication skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Adaptability in managing varied caseloads and multiple school assignments
  • Commitment to evidence-based practices

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments for students across all grade levels
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support program fidelity
  • Provide training and ongoing supervision to behavioral technicians
  • Modify interventions as needed and document student progress
  • Travel between assigned schools as needed within the district
