This full-time position runs from late August through mid-June, providing essential support to students with significant cognitive and behavioral needs. The focus is on behavioral assessment, program development, strategy implementation, staff training, and collaborative problem-solving within school teams.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- For BCBA roles: Active BCBA certification is required; school-based experience is strongly preferred. Please provide verification through the BACB portal.
- For Behavior Specialist roles: Bachelor’s or master’s degree, with current enrollment in a Master’s ABA program or active pursuit of BCBA certification. Must hold a DE PARA Permit.
- Proven experience in behavior assessment, intervention, data collection/analysis, and individualized behavior plan implementation, ideally in a school-based setting.
- Comfortable working independently with autonomy in day-to-day behavioral programming.
- Strong background in ABA practices and support for students with complex behavioral profiles.
- Excellent ability to collaborate and communicate with multidisciplinary school teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavioral assessments and ongoing data analysis to inform interventions.
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized behavioral strategies tailored to student needs.
- Provide structured support and training to teachers and school staff on best practices in behavioral management.
- Act as a resource for staff, students, and administration in managing and tracking behavioral progress.
- Participate in team meetings, program planning, and problem-solving sessions.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation in line with program expectations.
- Support inclusive school environments for students in both Autism and Early Years Programs.
