Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) - Nashville, Tennessee

Exciting contract opportunity available for a passionate BCBA ready to make a significant impact in a collaborative educational setting. Serve as the behavior expert for 6th-12th grade students whose needs surpass what the district typically provides, focusing on guidance, training, and support for a dedicated team. This role offers the chance to work near Nashville, TN, and includes a project in Omaha, NE, available to start as soon as possible with potential renewal or permanency.

Key Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required
• Prior experience supporting older students with behavioral challenges in a school, clinic, or related environment
• Strong leadership background coordinating with RBTs, paraprofessionals, and educators
• Ability to develop, implement, and oversee crisis response and elopement plans
• High comfort level working with students exhibiting significant behaviors, such as self-injury, aggression, or property destruction
• Dedicated to collaborating with districts, including multi-agency or cooperatives
• Not open to RBTs-only BCBAs may apply
• Adept at conducting functional assessments and providing actionable coaching

Responsibilities:

• Assess functions of extreme behaviors and coach staff in effective interventions
• Guide and train paraprofessionals (including a 10-member para/RBT team) and teachers in crisis response and de-escalation
• Support students, some with 2:1 staffing ratios, using evidence-based ABA interventions
• Collaborate with district partners and ensure continuity of services in a retail-style setting
• Focus exclusively on behavioral needs and staff support, as academic needs are covered
• Foster a supportive, non-isolative approach tailored to student requirements
• Revisit potential for remote occasional support with stakeholders as developments warrant
