Position Details
Full-Time Position (1.0 FTE)
School-Based Role
Location: Norfolk, VA
Support students and school staff across assigned schools within the district
Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required
Key Responsibilities
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
Provide behavioral consultation and support to teachers, administrators, and school staff
Collaborate with special education teams, related service providers, and families
Train school personnel in evidence-based behavioral interventions and best practices
Collect, analyze, and monitor student behavioral data to guide intervention decisions
Modify behavior plans based on student progress and data analysis
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Promote consistent implementation of positive behavioral supports across school settings
Qualifications
Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
Previous school-based experience preferred
Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and evidence-based practices
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and varying behavioral needs
