Board Certified Behavior Analyst in Omaha, NE

An exciting opportunity is available for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support students in a dynamic educational setting near Omaha, NE. This contract role begins as soon as possible and runs through the end of the school year, with the possibility of renewal or transition to a permanent position. You’ll work with a partner district, providing critical support for 6th through 12th-grade students whose needs exceed typical district resources but do not require full clinical intervention.

Key Qualifications:

• Current BCBA certification (no RBT), eligible for independent hours
• Experience with older students displaying complex and extreme behavioral challenges
• Strong crisis management skills, including the development and implementation of crisis plans
• Ability to support and supervise teams of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), paraprofessionals, and aides
• Comfortable with physically large students and behaviors such as elopement, self-injurious actions, aggression, and hygiene-related incidents
• Clear communication and leadership skills for training staff and collaborating with teachers
• Experience working in environments outside typical classroom settings is an asset

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct functional behavior assessments for students in grades 6–12
• Develop individualized crisis and behavioral intervention plans
• Lead, mentor, and support a dedicated staff team, including 10 paraprofessionals/RBTs and additional aides
• Support students within a retail-style facility, adapting behavior management strategies as needed
• Provide ongoing training for educators and support staff
• Maintain thorough documentation and collaborate on long-term support strategies
• Partner with external district and cooperative resources to deliver well-rounded care
