Job Type Contract

Put your Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) expertise to work in a fulfilling contract role supporting students across multiple schools in the Jacksonville area. This full-time, itinerant position spans 35 hours a week, with a schedule running from now until May 28, 2027. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with educators and staff, fostering a positive environment in Exceptional Student Education (ESE) self-contained programs throughout the district.

In this role, you’ll provide essential behavioral support—not direct therapy—by modeling best practices for staff, conducting observations, delivering targeted trainings, creating Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), and actively participating in meetings. The position may also include the supervision of one or two Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) within the district.

Qualifications and Desired Experience

  • Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) licensure is required.
  • Prior experience in school settings or supporting education professionals is preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
  • Willingness to support multiple school sites in an itinerant capacity.
  • Successful completion of required fingerprinting and credentialing (previous prints through FL/AHCA Clearinghouse may expedite this process).

Responsibilities

  • Support ESE programs by modeling techniques, conducting staff trainings, and offering guidance.
  • Observe classrooms and write FBAs for student support teams.
  • Attend and contribute to relevant school or district meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with school staff to implement effective behavioral interventions.
  • Supervise and mentor RBTs as needed.

If you’re seeking a rewarding, hands-on opportunity to impact students and educators district-wide, we’d love to connect. Submit your application now to take the next step in your BCBA career and make a difference in the educational community.
