Qualifications & Preferred Background:

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree highly preferred
• Valid Texas teaching certification with Special Education (SPED) endorsements
• Hands-on experience in special education, social work, counseling, or similar fields
• Strongly prefer candidates with backgrounds as school counselors, Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA), or in psychology/social work
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification welcomed
• Proven track record supporting students with behavioral needs in educational settings

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) tailored to individual student needs
• Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and document findings
• Participate actively in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD), Individualized Education Program (IEP), Response to Intervention (RtI), and Section 504 meetings
• Provide proactive classroom support and respond skillfully in crisis intervention scenarios
• Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to promote positive student outcomes
• Maintain thorough and confidential records in compliance with district and state guidelines
