Bring your expertise in autism support and behavior analysis to a dynamic, contract opportunity serving students from kindergarten through age 21. As a key contributor within the itinerant ASD program, you will deliver targeted instructional activities and behavioral support across various district sites, ensuring every learner’s unique needs are addressed according to their individualized plans.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active BCBA certification, with relevant school-based experience
  • Experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, including those with Asperger’s Syndrome and high-functioning autism
  • Competence in creating and implementing behavior support and intervention plans using applied behavior analysis (ABA)
  • Ability to interpret, communicate, and utilize assessment results for diverse audiences
  • Skilled in collaborating within multidisciplinary teams and engaging in IEP processes
  • Proficiency in adapting curriculum for a wide range of learners, including developing visual supports and instructional modifications
  • Responsive to diverse family backgrounds, values, and communication styles
  • Willingness to stay current with best practices and participate in professional development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons aligned with state and district curriculum for students with ASD
  • Administer and interpret a variety of educational assessments
  • Design and revise data-driven behavior support plans, incorporating sensory and functional needs
  • Utilize ABA methods (discrete trial, pivotal response, incidental teaching) to teach crucial skills
  • Foster generalization of social and play skills throughout the school day
  • Provide staff, caregiver, and service provider training in effective interventions and supports
  • Engage in team processes, including IEP development and crisis prevention strategies
  • Maintain ongoing communication with families and support service access
