Step into a dynamic opportunity as a Behavior Specialist and make a significant impact throughout an entire district supporting students across all grade levels. Starting August 3rd and running through June 25th, this contract position offers the chance to put your BCBA expertise to work supporting various school communities. The flexible schedule aligns with standard school hours (Monday–Friday), offering approximately 35 hours per week.

As a valued member of the district’s support team, you’ll collaborate with behavior technicians and educators to promote positive student outcomes across 24 schools. You’ll work in conjunction with building-based behavior techs in elementary schools and will have additional support assigned, ensuring you can focus on high-level consultation and guidance.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active BCBA certification required, with demonstrated experience in school-based settings preferred.
  • Well-versed in behavior assessment, data-based intervention planning, and implementing Tier 1-3 supports.
  • Exceptional communication and consultation skills for working with diverse teams (students, staff, and families).
  • Ability to adapt across varying grade levels and school environments.
  • Experience leading and training teams or behavior technicians is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop effective Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) for students across grades K-12.
  • Serve as a consultant for school teams, offering behavioral expertise and supporting the implementation of school-wide and individualized strategies.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and professional development to building-based staff and assigned behavior technicians.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
