Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) – Full-Time District Position | Huntington, Maryland | 2026–2027 School Year

Position Details

  • Employment Type: Full-Time
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday with flexible school hours based on district operating schedules
  • Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Contract Dates: August 3 – June 25
  • Grade Levels: All grade levels
  • Building Assignments: District-level position supporting multiple schools
  • Caseload: Varies based on the number of specialists available to support all 24 schools
  • Support: Assigned Behavior Technician (BT) support; elementary schools have Behavior Technicians assigned within each building
  • Pay: $50.35–$60.67 per hour, based on experience and qualifications


Responsibilities

  • Provide behavioral consultation and support across multiple school locations within the district.
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop, implement, and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, special education teams, and related service providers.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to assigned Behavior Technicians.
  • Analyze behavioral data and make recommendations to improve student outcomes.
  • Support students across all grade levels with individualized behavioral needs.
  • Train and collaborate with school staff on evidence-based behavioral strategies.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines related to student services.


Qualifications

  • Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Ability to provide behavioral services in Maryland, including all required state credentials or eligibility.
  • Experience working in a school-based setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), behavior intervention strategies, and data collection methods.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to support multiple school sites and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
