Step into a pivotal role supporting students ages K–22 with intellectual and developmental disabilities near Providence, RI. Your experience as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will be essential, as you bring evidence-based expertise and a collaborative spirit to a multidisciplinary team. You’ll lead efforts in creating supportive, positive learning experiences, and mentor school staff to implement behavioral best practices.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active BCBA certification required
  • Demonstrated experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and developing comprehensive Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Strong background working with children and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Proficiency in training, coaching, or supporting teachers and paraprofessionals in behavior plan implementation
  • Knowledge of proactive de-escalation and Safety-Care crisis management strategies
  • Commitment to data-driven intervention, analysis, and reporting
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with various specialists and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct FBAs and design individualized BIPs for diverse student needs
  • Educate and mentor staff in effective behavioral strategies and interventions
  • Directly support students during behavioral crises, emphasizing de-escalation and least restrictive practices
  • Partner with teachers, therapists, and families to foster holistic student growth
  • Collect, monitor, and analyze student behavior data to guide programming
  • Participate in—and help plan—professional development sessions across disciplines
