Job Type Contract

Step into a meaningful opportunity supporting middle and high school students by applying your Board Certified Behavior Analyst expertise within a collaborative and dynamic school environment. This contract role, available immediately through the end of the school year with potential for renewal or permanent placement, focuses on partnering with a local cooperative to meet the behavioral needs of students who require more intensive support than the district typically provides, without entering a clinical model.

In this unique position, you'll lead a dedicated behavioral support team in a retail-style facility setting. Students are 6th-12th grade, with some presenting with physically challenging behaviors and requiring crisis planning—such as frequent elopement, self-injurious actions, and other high-intensity behaviors. You’ll collaborate closely with a supportive team that includes multiple Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), paraeducators, and aides, with some students receiving a 2:1 support ratio.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active BCBA certification is required
  • Previous experience supporting older students with significant behavioral challenges, preferably in a school or clinic environment
  • Strong leadership with a proven ability to train and mentor paraprofessionals and teachers
  • Crisis management skills, including effective intervention planning for high-risk behaviors
  • Ability to create and adapt individualized plans using a function-based approach
  • Skilled communicator, comfortable collaborating with diverse education professionals

Your Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct behavioral assessments and develop data-driven behavior intervention plans
  • Coach and support a team of RBTs, paras, and teachers in effective intervention strategies
  • Provide leadership and training across the staff to ensure consistency in behavioral supports
  • Monitor and adjust interventions based on ongoing data and team feedback
  • Contribute to a collaborative, non-isolation model that values inclusive, student-centered practices

If you’re ready to lend your expertise and leadership where it will make a real difference, submit your application today and help empower students and staff to achieve progress together.
