Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) - Spanaway, Washington

Step into an impactful role shaping educational outcomes for K-12 students during the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract opportunity invites a skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide their expertise district-wide. Working onsite, you’ll support a diverse group of students, collaborate with educators, and oversee the work of Behavioral Support Assistants (BSAs) throughout the school year.

As an integral resource across all grade levels, you’ll design and implement effective behavioral interventions, offer staff guidance, and engage in meaningful collaboration with school teams and families. Your insights and leadership will help foster an inclusive, positive learning environment that empowers every student to thrive.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Active WA BCBA license (or willingness to obtain before starting)
• Successful completion of fingerprinting through OSPI (or open to completing process)
• Previous experience as a BCBA in a K-12 or equivalent setting preferred
• Expertise in functional behavioral assessments, data collection, and intervention design
• Strong collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills, especially in supervising BSAs

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver ongoing behavioral assessments and create individualized intervention plans for K-12 students
• Supervise and support Behavioral Support Assistants across the district
• Conduct data-driven progress monitoring and provide actionable reports
• Train and consult with teachers, paraprofessionals, and parents on behavior strategies
• Maintain detailed documentation compliant with district and state guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings, student support teams, and professional development sessions
