This contract position begins this September and continues through the end of May, offering the opportunity to work 30 hours each week across four days with a schedule primarily during school hours. You’ll collaborate closely with private schools throughout Lake County, providing essential behavioral support services to students and staff.
What You’ll Bring:
- Active BCBA national certification
- Experience conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments and developing Behavioral Intervention Plans
- Training or direct work in school settings, especially preferred
- Strong communication and consultation skills
- Ability to travel between assigned schools (itinerant role)
- Flexibility to provide support at varying times, including transitions, as needed
- Capacity for developing and leading staff training sessions
- Commitment to maintaining accurate records and generating timely written reports
Your Responsibilities:
- Perform Functional Behavioral Assessments for individual students or classrooms, including multi-setting observations
- Draft detailed reports and develop intervention plans based on assessment data
- Train, support, and supervise school and district staff in the implementation of intervention plans and data collection
- Deliver behavioral therapy services to individuals or small groups as appropriate
- Monitor and revise plans for maintenance and generalization of student skills
- Contribute to crisis prevention, de-escalation strategies, and the implementation of social-emotional curricula such as Zones of Regulation
- Ensure full completion of district onboarding credentials and compliance processes
