Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold a valid BCBA credential
- Experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and developing behavior intervention plans
- Strong ability to analyze and interpret behavioral data
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Comfortable working in both general and special education environments
- Willingness to submit a redacted FBA sample and professional references
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct behavior analytic services to students across all three school sites within the district
- Perform classroom observations, including within emotional support settings
- Conduct thorough FBAs and design individualized behavior intervention plans
- Collaborate with teachers, school psychologists, and support staff to ensure effective implementation of interventions
- Actively participate in IEP meetings to share observations and contribute to student planning
- Serve as a resource for staff development and guidance regarding behavioral strategies
This full-time, onsite position (37-40 hours weekly) offers the chance to shape a new role and build a culture of positive behavioral support district-wide. Travel between LB Morris School, Penn-Kidder Campus, and Jim Thorpe Area High School provides a dynamic and varied workweek.
