Board Certified Behavior Analyst - Woodbridge, VA

Step into a rewarding opportunity working as a Special Education Teacher focused on extended school year services in a supportive, one-on-one setting with 1st grade students. This dynamic contract-to-hire role centers on positively impacting young learners with behavioral needs, including those diagnosed with Autism and ADHD. As part of this program, you will collaborate closely with on-site administration and a dedicated behavioral support team, including BCBAs and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), ensuring a comprehensive educational experience for every student.

Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential or experience collaborating with BCBAs
• Background working as, or alongside, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)
• Previous experience or strong understanding of teaching students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD
• Passion for individualized instruction in a one-on-one educational setting
• Ability to create and implement effective behavioral strategies, tailored to each student’s unique needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and behavioral interventions to 1st grade students during the extended school year
• Work closely with administrators, BCBAs, and RBTs to design, monitor, and adjust student education and behavioral plans
• Maintain accurate student records and progress notes
• Foster an inclusive, engaging, and supportive classroom environment
• Communicate proactively with families and team members regarding student development and goals
